Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Bridge Intern for Summer 2027 in Tampa, FL, with offices in Tampa, Miami, or Orlando. You will assist with bridge and civil engineering tasks, including quantity take-offs, project monitoring, scheduling, modeling, progress reporting, and site inspections, gaining hands-on experience alongside senior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a 3rd- or 4th-year undergraduate or graduate student in Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to apply engineering and drafting standards with supervision.
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel; exposure to engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with engineering plans and details.
  • Perform quantity take-offs.
  • Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
  • Assist with computer modeling and production of drawings, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Support site visits and inspections under supervision.
  • Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.

This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience supporting bridge and civil engineering projects through quantity take-offs, project monitoring, scheduling, computer modeling, progress reporting, and site inspections.Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and other project deliverables while developing your knowledge of applicable codes and standards. You will also collaborate with engineers, drafters, clients, and support staff in a dynamic team environment.We are seeking organized, motivated, and detail-oriented candidates who demonstrate strong communication, time management, teamwork, integrity, and a passion for continuous learning.
