Job summary

Halff seeks an Intern, Energy in Richardson, TX to join our Energy team for a summer internship. The role offers hands-on experience in energy production, gathering, processing, treating, compression, and pipelines, under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.

Expect rigorous teamwork and a strong emphasis on learning. The internship runs June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, is paid hourly and full-time (40 hours/week), and does not include housing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with all types of people to get the job done.

Halff has an immediate opening for an Intern, Energy in the Richardson, TX office with our Energy team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in collaborative team environments, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning. The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027.

Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.

Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.

What You Will Do

• Work within a large team environment
• Assist with designing energy production, gathering, processing, treating, compression, and pipelines
• Design engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Perform schematic design work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects

What You Will Need

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
