Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers a hands-on internship across Application Development, IT Operations, and Project Management within its Digital Modernization group. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalency and attending an accredited college/university pursuing a degree.
• Intern’s major must align with academic and functional requirements of the position.
• Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Intern must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Duties vary by department; interns may compile, review and analyze data for reports.
• Assist in preparing management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
• Create presentations, reports, and data visuals for assigned department.
• Review reports to identify problems and propose solutions under supervision.
• Participate in training sessions and attend department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
• Participate in and/or lead departmental meetings and working sessions.
