Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to identify and assess suspicious activity, intelligence, and security incidents across company facilities and assets. Under direction, you will perform structured analysis of energy-related event data to determine threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and impacts to energy infrastructure.

You will monitor security trends, document research in written reports, and assist with oral intelligence briefings.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and majoring in Emergency Management, Data Analytics, Economics, International Affairs, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or related security background
• Must have an anticipated graduation date in the fall of 2028 to the fall of 2029
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

• Monitor security and crime trends at company locations and document research and analysis in written reports.
• Assist with oral intelligence briefings on incidents and threats impacting energy infrastructure.
• Assist with open-source research and assess incoming threat streams to develop accurate conclusions and appropriate recommendations.
• Monitor and share threat alerts, warnings, and advisories with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate regularly with other energy analysts, government fusion centers, law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, and regulatory agencies.

Job Summary

Under direction utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to identify and assess suspicious activity, intelligence, and security incidents at company facilities and assets.

Works with more experienced analyst to perform structured analysis of energy-related, event data, to determine threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and impacts to energy infrastructure.

Monitors security and crime trends at company locations, and throughout the energy industry. Documents research and analysis in written reports.

Assists with oral intelligence briefings on incidents and threats impacting energy infrastructure.

Assists with conducting open-source research, and assesses incoming threat streams, to develop accurate conclusions and appropriate recommendations for security response.

Monitors and shares threat alerts, warnings, and advisories with key internal and external stakeholders.

Communicates regularly with other energy analysts, government fusion centers, law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, and regulatory agencies, sharing information on physical threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and potential protective measures.

Intelligence analysis experience or education preferred preferred, or experience or education in corporate security, intelligence, law enforcement, or regulatory agency or organization.

• Knowledge of security issues and critical infrastructure protection with an energy company.
• Knowledge of research methodology and analytic techniques.
• Demonstrated understanding of security concepts and sophisticated security technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, to provide in-person intelligence briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated, sound security leadership, decision-making, and critical thinking.
• Ability to monitor, assess, and report on security incidents.
• Ability to conduct detailed, threat analyses.
• Ability to report to internal and external stakeholders, using the appropriate degree of urgency.
• Ability to manage the flow of sensitive, intelligence information.
• Ability to understand the assessment of security risks.
• Ability to work independently, and to achieve results with little supervision.
• Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and confidentiality

Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance, as required.
