Responsibilities

• Assist with traditional and digital marketing initiatives to support the Commercial Marketing team.
• Content creation for thought leadership, social media, and email campaigns.
• Manage social media calendar, post scheduling and engagement tracking.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, demographics and competitors.
• Coordinate bank-sponsored events and webinars; assist with community outreach.

Compensation Range

Internship Overview

Commerce Bank’s summer internship program provides students a chance to gain real world experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Internships are offered in a wide range of functional business areas and are designed to provide the interns with meaningful and relevant work. Interns are encouraged to apply their talents to actual business projects and work with a team of dedicated professionals.

In addition to work experiences, interns will get to hear from key leaders of the organization and learn about the many facets of banking; they will develop strong networks with other interns and business professionals. This is an exciting and rewarding program! Commerce Bank interns are involved in strategic projects, participate in company initiatives, and interact with executive leadership. They also participate in weekly lunch‐and‑learns, community service activities, and sponsored outings.

Our internships are offered every summer in a variety of departments at Commerce Bank, such as Commercial Banking, Credit, Marketing, Data Analytics, and more. We are looking for Junior or Senior college students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 18, 2027, and will run for 11 weeks, ending on Friday, July 30, 2027.

Internships are paid, full‑time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule. *Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Essential Functions

• Assist with a variety of traditional and digital marketing initiatives in support of the Commercial Marketing team.


• Content Creation: Assist in the development of marketing thought leadership content, social media updates and email campaigns to promote the Commercial banking brand, products and solutions.


• Social Media Management: Help maintain social media calendar including scheduling of posts and monitoring engagement.


• Market Research: Research industry trends, customer demographics, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights for marketing strategies.


• Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of bank sponsored events, including webinars, industry events and community outreach programs.


• Creative Projects: Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing promotional materials.


• Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing marketing campaign performance data to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data driven recommendations.


• Customer/Client Engagement: Help in developing and implementing strategies to acquire, expand, and retain customers through marketing programs.


• Marketing Automation: Get acquainted with the marketing technology that is leveraged to support various initiatives.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $20.00 per hour.
