As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite

About Our Team

The Manufacturing Liaison team is part of the Supply Chain Management Center. Manufacturing Liaison provides technical expertise and acts as liaison for mechanical and special process fabricate-to-print manufacturing performed by Sandia National Laboratory suppliers. The team works with external fabrication suppliers to deliver quality product on time and at the best possible price. The team has expertise in design for manufacturability, design definition for fabrication, fabrication project management, fabrication techniques and supplier capability. The team is also responsible for in-coming dimensional mechanical measurement of Manufacturing Liaison acquired product using state of the art equipment in temperature controlled environments. Manufacturing Liaison is responsible for and maintains a supplier quality management system to assist in source selection. Manufacturing Liaison is ISO registered as part of the Supply Chain Management Center.

Security Clearance

NNSA Requirements For MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Qualifications We Require

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
