Job summary

Hoyle Tanner & Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated intern to join the Bridge Group within the Ground Transportation Division for a paid internship starting May 2027.

The role provides hands-on experience in bridge design standards, engineering software, construction practices, and professional engineering procedures under senior engineers. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a BSCE program with preferred EIT status and experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program.
• EIT is preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with planning, design, inspection, and construction support of bridge projects.
• Prepare CADD drawings and contract plans, perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Assist with bridge inspections and site visits for projects under construction.
• Compile technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project meetings and coordination efforts.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Bridge Group within our Ground Transportation Division. This is a paid internship opportunity. Start date is anticipated to be May of 2027. Earlier start dates are available on a limited basis.

Primary Responsibilities Include
