Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Brand, Marketing & Communications Intern in Greensboro, NC. You will support digital marketing, asset management, and event planning while gaining hands-on experience with marketing automation and analytics.

You will work up to 30 hours weekly, with emphasis on email marketing, lead gen, and campaign performance. This is a temporary student role with housing and growth opportunities within Volvo Group's VTNA division.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in digital marketing communications or related field.
  • Minimum GPA 2.75 and completion of at least 30 undergraduate hours prior to start.
  • Internship part-time up to 30 hours per week; graduate students may apply.
  • Strong communication skills and interest in digital marketing analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Support digital marketing initiatives: web content updates, campaign optimization, email marketing.
  • Assist with asset management and event planning alongside the Marcom & Events Manager.
  • Analyze web and social data; help with reports and performance insights.
  • Assist in tradeshow logistics and dealer communications as needed.

As a Brand, Marketing & Communications Intern at Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA), you’ll support digital marketing initiatives such as web content updates, campaign optimization, performance marketing, lead generation, and email marketing. You’ll help manage digital assets, analyze web and social media data, and assist with event planning alongside the Marcom & Events Manager. This role provides practical experience in marketing automation, events, reporting, and communications to strengthen the VTNA brand.

  • Aligning with our 2027 digital strategy, continued support of performance marketing including email, lead generation, and lead scoring
  • Assist in tracking the performance of digital marketing campaigns using tools (Google Analytics) and prepare reports to share insights with the team
  • Assist in the collection, and analysis of quarterly web and social media statistics
  • Maintain with uploading, organizing, optimizing and tagging photo/video assets in the VTNA Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool
  • Tradeshows and Events (supporting Marcom & Events Manager)
  • Trade show logistics and event coordination (ACT Expo, ATA MCE, TMC)
  • OPR/PO support
  • Writing weekly Up to Speed (supporting Dealer Comms Manager)
We’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, marketing automation, and analytics
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills
  • Focused attention to detail with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and prioritize workloads.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
  • Efficient or knowledgeable with marketing tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, SEM Rush)
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
Requirements:
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing communications, business communications, or a related marketing field at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
  • Interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
  • Graduate students are welcome to apply as well.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
