Job summary

MedPro Group is seeking an Associate Underwriter intern in Fort Wayne, IN. The role combines training in underwriting with hands-on tasks across service areas, providing exposure to policy types and New Business processes.

The position supports students with 15–20 hours weekly during the school year and up to 40 hours in the summer, requiring US work authorization and a strong organizational mindset.

Qualifications

• Active pursuit of degree in Insurance, Risk Management or Business with at least 2 years completed.
• Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to succeed in high volume environments requiring personal organization, multitasking, and regular reprioritization with short turnaround time on items of high impact.
• Proven ability to work on a team or operate independently and prioritize job duties.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Mandatory computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
• Year-round availability: 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours/week during the summer.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.
