Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to contribute to advanced spectroscopy and nanoscale characterization projects focused on semiconductor thin films, surfaces, interfaces, and process-induced material changes.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of spectroscopy, microscopy, materials characterization, or semiconductor materials.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one analytical technique such as fluorescence, Raman, FTIR, or similar.
  • Experience using data analysis tools like Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct spectroscopy and microscopy experiments to characterize semiconductor thin films, surfaces, interfaces, and related materials.
  • Process, analyze, and interpret spectroscopy data (Photoluminescence, Raman, AFM-IR, etc.), and develop visualization workflows.
  • Correlate spectroscopic signatures with material properties and process conditions, collaborating with scientists and engineers.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to support literature reviews, data analysis, coding, and documentation.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation and safety standards and communicate results through reports and presentations.
