Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a motivated summer intern to contribute to spectroscopy and nanoscale characterization projects in a corporate lab setting. You will learn experimental design, data analytics, and materials research within an industrial environment.

Collaborate with scientists and engineers, apply AI-enabled tools for literature reviews and data analysis, and deliver a final technical report and presentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Basic knowledge of spectroscopy or microscopy.
• Hands-on experience with spectroscopy techniques.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, Origin, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spectroscopy and microscopy experiments to characterize thin films, surfaces, interfaces, and related materials.
• Collect, process, and interpret spectroscopy data and develop visualization workflows.
• Correlate spectroscopic signatures with material properties and process conditions.
• Use AI-enabled tools to support literature reviews, data analysis, and documentation.
• Maintain lab documentation and safety standards and present results in reports.
