Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. invites a highly motivated summer intern to contribute to spectroscopy and nanoscale characterization projects in our Chemistry Lab, focusing on semiconductor thin films, surfaces, and interfaces.

You will work with scientists and engineers in Corporate Labs to develop and apply spectroscopy-based methods and analyze complex materials datasets. You will gain experience in experimental design, data analytics, and semiconductor materials research in an industrial setting,

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in a relevant field.
Basic spectroscopy or materials characterization knowledge.
Hands-on experience with fluorescence, Raman, FTIR, or similar.
Experience with Python, MATLAB, Origin, or similar.
Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct experiments using advanced spectroscopy and microscopy to characterize thin films, surfaces, interfaces, and related materials.
Collect, process, analyze, and interpret spectroscopy data (PL, lifetime, Raman, AFM-IR); develop visualization workflows.
Correlate spectroscopic signatures with material properties, process conditions, surface states, and defect behavior in collaboration with scientists and engineers.
Use AI-Enabled tools to support literature reviews, data analysis, coding, documentation, and presentations.
Maintain laboratory documentation and safety standards; deliver a validated workflow and final report/presentation.
