Job summary

BMW Shared Services, LLC is offering an Internship in Accounting Operations in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The role supports month- and quarter-end close and exposure to General Ledger, GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Asset and Bank Accounting.

You will analyze balance sheet accounts, assist with journal entries, and learn ledger details while supporting finance teams across departments. GPA 3.0+ and 60 credits required; full-time availability essential; pay rate disclosed per student level.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Have completed at least 60 college credit hours.
• Field of study: Accounting; attach unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Prior BMW Group experience for international J1 students (if applicable).
• English language proficiency.

Job Description:

This intern will have a basic understanding of how the accounting department operates by supporting the month and quarter end close. They will be able to understand the basic business processes for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting.

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

• Develop knowledge of general ledger account details.
• Support accounting activities across sales, marketing, and purchasing functions.
• Assist the Credit Team with dealer-related activities.
• Support projects involving account reconciliations, clearing account data, and researching aged account activity.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have completed at least 60 college credit hours at time of application.
• Field of study: Accounting Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
• Experience using Microsoft Suite and SAP Conscientious, responsible, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team Languages: English (fluent, oral and written.

Undergraduate students: Hourly rate is $25.30.

Graduate students: Hourly rate is $32.20.
