Job summary

Blue & Co., LLC is seeking an Intern for the Healthcare Consulting Practice in Westerville, Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience assisting the client service team to maximize reimbursement while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You’ll work with mentors, participate in team meetings, and contribute to reconciliation, research, and cross-functional client engagements during the May–August summer period.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred.
• Accounting, Finance or related major on track to CPA exam.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist client service team by reconciling large volumes of financial and operational data.
• Support reimbursement consulting projects, including Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports and Wage Index.
• Research reimbursement regulations and identify opportunities to improve client reimbursement outcomes.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Consulting Practice on client engagements and maintain team communication.

What You’ll Do:

As a Blue intern, you’ll gain meaningful, hands‑on experience by assisting our client service team help healthcare providers maximize reimbursement opportunities while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. You’ll be supported by mentors, receive real‑time feedback, and collaborate with coworkers, leadership, and client business owners.

• Assist with reconciling large volumes of financial and operational data using standardized analytical tools.
• Assist with reimbursement consulting projects, including: Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports and Wage Index.
• Research reimbursement regulations and identify opportunities to improve client reimbursement outcomes.
• Collaborate with professionals across Blue's Healthcare Consulting Practice on client engagements.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions while tracking action items and expanding your industry knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong academic performance (Minimum GPA 3.2)
• Accounting, Finance or related major on track to meet the requirements for CPA exam
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PPT, Outlook and Excel
• Demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving skills
• Success in working independently and as part of a team
• Available to work overtime hours including evening/weekends and travel as necessary
• Exhibit strong communication skills - willingness to ask questions to gain knowledge of complex subjects
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
