Job summary

Blue & Co. is seeking a Reimbursement Associate to join the Healthcare Reimbursement team in Indianapolis. This full-time role involves analyzing financial and operational data, ensuring compliant reimbursement practices, and delivering actionable insights to healthcare providers.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or analytics with 1–3 years of related experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with SQL or Python. Travel to client sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Data/Business Analytics or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency.
• Data analytics experience with SQL, Alteryx or Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, validate, and reconcile large volumes of financial and operational data using standardized analytical tools.
• Support hospital clients by analyzing patient-accounting data, reviewing records, and delivering high-quality reimbursement consulting services.
• Research reimbursement regulations and identify opportunities to improve client reimbursement outcomes.
• Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic reimbursement decisions.
• Build strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service throughout engagements.
• Collaborate with Blue's Healthcare Consulting Practice on multidisciplinary client engagements.
• Continue developing technical expertise through mentoring and ongoing professional development.

As a Staff Consultant on our Healthcare Reimbursement team, you'll play an important role in helping healthcare providers maximize reimbursement opportunities while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Requirements:

• We're looking for professionals who are analytical and collaborative, with a willingness to learn within a specialized area of healthcare consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Data/Business Analytics or a related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Data analytics experience in SQL, Alteryx or Python preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed (primarily day travel with minimal overnight travel).
