Job summary

Ultipro in Wisconsin is seeking a Welding Youth Apprentice to learn welding fundamentals under experienced welders in a steel fabrication shop. This part-time role runs during the school year with extra hours during breaks.

You will learn MIG and Flux Core welding, blueprint reading, safety practices, and shop operations, with support from shop staff and mentors. This position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic while offering benefits and career growth within a stable

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and attending high school or college program with interest in welding.
  • Strong interest in welding and skilled trades.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and supervisors.
  • Good attendance and work ethic.
  • Must be 16 years old.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.

  • Demonstrate reliability, willingness to learn, and teamwork

Role Overview

The Welding Youth Apprentice program is designed for high school students interested in exploring a career in welding and fabrication. Apprentices will work under the guidance of experienced welders and supervisors to learn the fundamentals of welding, safety practices, and the operations of a steel fabrication shop. This position is part-time during the school year, with the potential for additional hours during school breaks.
