Job summary

AeroFlow Technologies in Middletown, CT invites an Intern to join our manufacturing team. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Finance, and HR to support the development and manufacture of precision aerospace components and assemblies.

The role offers hands-on exposure to a fast-paced environment serving commercial, military, and space applications, with emphasis on process improvement, documentation, and compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related technical discipline.
  • Must be entering or currently enrolled in junior year or higher.
  • Flexibility to work up to 32 hours per week during business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with daily production and process improvement activities.
  • Support the creation and revision of work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Assist with tooling, fixture, and manufacturing process development projects.
  • Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
  • Review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Conduct time studies and shop-floor observations to identify process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain.
  • Maintain compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.

Job Description

At AeroFlow Technologies, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. You can even find our products aboard NASA’s Space Launch System and in the F-35 fighter jets. That’s the level of quality and innovation you’ll be part of when you join our team.

We are seeking intern will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Production, Finance and Human Resources personnel to support the development and manufacture of precision aerospace components and assemblies. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any of the following:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Business Administration
  • Related technical discipline
  • must be entering or currently enrolled in junior year or higher
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule during business hours up to 32 per week.
