Job summary

AeroFlow Technologies in Middletown, CT is seeking a Shipping and Receiving employee to manage receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. You will inspect shipments, label and store items, and prepare documents for shipping while coordinating with carriers.

The role requires strong organization, good English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Full benefits and daytime schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving.
• 1–2 years in local delivery driving or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, POs, and invoices.
• Unload, label, and store incoming materials.
• Prepare, pack, and label products for shipment per customer specs.
• Create shipping docs: bills of lading and labels.
• Coordinate with carriers for timely delivery.
• Maintain records of shipments and receipts in the inventory system.

Job description

At AeroFlow Technologies, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. You can even find our products aboard NASA’s Space Launch System and in the F-35.

Valley Metals, an AEROFLOW TECHNOLOGIES company, is searching for a Shipper/Receiving and Driveremployee within our manufacturingteam to help support our Aerospace business.

So, what will you be doing as Shipping and Receiving employee?

Support operations in handling the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Unload, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
• Notify appropriate personnel of discrepancies or damages.
• Prepare, pack, and label products for shipment according to customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
• Create shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts in the inventory management system.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure accuracy and report variances.
• Ensure all outgoing and incoming products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Report and address any non-conformance issues promptly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete local scheduled pickups and deliveries between company sites, vendors, and customers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English Language. Spanish is a plus.

• Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 an hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM –3:30 PM; Full-time, 40 hours per week
