ProAmpac is seeking a motivated Co-Op/Intern in engineering to support production and process improvement efforts at our Michigan location. You will assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting on performance, while enabling engineers to design and test processes and products.

You will contribute to root-cause analyses, SOP updates, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations.

Qualificações

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• GPA requirement: 3.0 or higher.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook is a plus.
• Strong time management and organization, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive information.
• Effective communication with leadership, staff, and clients.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting related to production performance.

• Conduct studies on line balance, workflow, and equipment evaluations.

• Contribute to sustainability and waste reduction projects.
• Maintain accurate project records and findings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Present findings to supervisors and stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned.

Pay or shift range: $20 USD to $23 USD

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Assists with data collection, analysis, and reporting related to production performance or process optimization.
• Support engineers in planning, designing, and testing manufacturing process or product modifications.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues.
• Prepare and update standard operating procedures, technical documents, and engineer drawings.
• Conduct studies and assist with line balance, workflow layout, or equipment evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Operations.
• Contribute to sustainability and waste reduction projects as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and findings.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Present findings or recommendations to supervisors and other project stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook a plus
• Time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
• Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
