Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsement; no manual transmission restrictions.
• MVR must not have major offenses within the last 3 years.
• At least 1 year of driving experience; intermodal, flatbed and end-dump experience preferred.
• Strong reading and writing skills; good verbal communication.
• Strong mechanical and mathematical abilities.
• Dependable personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently to move trailers/containers.
• Secure loads and maintain proper cargo restraint.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with Transportation for assignments and updates.
• Maintain clean, well-kept vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately complete drivers' logs and time cards.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Report incidents to Transportation Manager promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
