Job summary

CSX is seeking an experienced professional to assist the Terminal Manager in running an intermodal terminal. You will coordinate plans, staffing, safety, and compliance, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound trains and terminal operations.

Responsibilities include maximizing profitability, coordinating with Network Operations, and implementing training for staff and contractors. The role requires leadership and a strong understanding of railroad operations, with a focus on safety and

Qualifications

• Railroad industry knowledge required.
• Familiarity with FRA regulations and AAR guidelines.
• Strong business acumen and operations understanding.

Responsibilities

• Maximize profitability through informed decision making.
• Coordinate with Terminal Manager, clerical staff, and contractors for inbound/outbound train and terminal plans.
• Adjust plans with Network Operations and Service Design to meet needs.
• Set short and long-term maintenance and upgrade plans per CSX rules.
• Ensure periodic inspections are performed and addressed.
• Assist in staffing decisions and scheduling for clerical/contract staff.
• Implement training for new hires and recurrent training for all staff.
• Ensure compliance with intermodal safety and environmental policies.
• Inform all CSX intermodal departments of terminal needs.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
