Werner Enterprises offers an 11‑week paid summer internship in transportation sales, business development, and analytics. You will partner with sales teams, research markets, and support GTM initiatives while rotating through key commercial functions.

The role provides exposure to Salesforce and Tableau, with projects across Final Mile and Intermodal. Interns gain hands‑on experience and mentorship, culminating in a final presentation.

Qualificações

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in sales, networking, and relationship building.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with outside sales professionals to identify and pursue growth opportunities within Final Mile and Intermodal.
• Research new industries, customer segments, and markets for vertical diversification and growth.
• Support prospecting and lead‑generation efforts, including researching prospects, assisting with outreach, and tracking results.
• Evaluate GTM strategy and market position; develop recommendations to grow market share.
• Participate in rotational training across Sales Operations, Sales Support, Rating, Engineering, and Operations.
• Learn how Salesforce CRM supports sales activity, pipeline management, reporting, and decision‑making.
• Utilize Salesforce and Tableau to analyze sales data and identify actionable insights.
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, Account Management, Operations and others on strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
• Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other initiatives in the summer.
• Present project findings and recommendations to leaders at the internship conclusion.
• Visiting intermodal yards and observing operations.
