Werner Enterprises, Inc. offers an 11-week paid Summer Internship in Intermodal Sales on-site in Omaha, NE.

You will work with the commercial team to support growth initiatives across Final Mile and Intermodal and gain exposure to inside/outside sales, GTM strategy, and cross-functional projects. Rotational training across Sales Ops, Support, Rating, Engineering, and Operations provides hands-on experience with Salesforce and Tableau, while you explore market research, analytics, and business

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in sales, networking, and relationship building.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Responsabilités

• Partner with outside sales to identify growth opportunities in Final Mile and Intermodal.
• Research new industries, customer segments, markets for diversification.
• Support prospecting and lead generation, including outreach and tracking results.
• Evaluate GTM strategy and market position; develop recommendations to grow market share.
• Participate in rotational training across Sales Operations, Sales Support, Rating, Engineering, and Operations.
• Learn Salesforce CRM and its role in activity, pipeline, reporting, and decision-making.
• Utilize Salesforce and Tableau to analyze sales data and identify insights.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Account Management, Operations on strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
• Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and present findings to leaders.
