Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking an Intermodal Intern to gain hands-on experience across North America’s transportation network, learning rail, drayage, trucking, pricing and customer operations.

You will work with seasoned professionals in account management, carrier management, pricing and business development. You’ll be on-site four days a week with one remote day, collaborate across teams, and complete a meaningful project with leadership visibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Experience using customer perspective to guide decisions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop a foundational understanding of intermodal transportation, supply chain operations, carrier capacity management, pricing, and customer service through structured training and hands-on experience.
• Support account management and service assurance teams by assisting with transportation execution, recurring operational activities, and customer-focused initiatives.
• Build relationships with carriers and internal partners while learning how transportation capacity is sourced, managed, and optimized.
• Gain exposure to pricing strategies, business development activities, and customer solution discussions to understand how C.H. Robinson delivers value to customers.
• Utilize technology, operational dashboards, and data analysis tools to identify trends, support decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in rotational experiences across account management, carrier management, pricing, business development, and operational excellence teams.
• Collaborate on projects focused on process improvements, operational efficiency, AI-enabled solutions, or transportation network optimization.
• Demonstrate an ownership mindset by asking questions, contributing ideas, taking initiative, and supporting team objectives.
