Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Port Intern in Chicago to gain hands-on experience supporting freight movement across North America.

You will rotate through account management, carrier management, pricing, and business development, learning how rail, drayage, trucking, and pricing interact to keep supply chains moving. You’ll work on-site four days a week with one remote day, receiving mentorship and exposure to data analysis, process improvements, and emerging AI-enabled solutions, while delivering

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Experience using customer perspective to guide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of intermodal transportation and carrier capacity management.
• Support account management and pricing teams with operational activities.
• Build relationships with carriers and internal partners.
• Gain exposure to pricing strategies and business development.
• Use dashboards and data tools to identify trends and support decisions.
• Participate in rotational experiences across multiple teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and AI-enabled solutions.
