Job summary

REMPREX, Inc. in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems on forklifts, cranes and related equipment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, follow OEM specifications, and maintain detailed service records. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work after hours.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with strong diesel, hydraulic and electrical understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are required.
• Willingness to work after hours call outs.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance following OEM specs and maintain service records.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to assess condition and needs.
• Complete work orders and documentation with attention to detail.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and communicate status to team.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
