Job summary
Kalmar is seeking a hands-on problem solver in Memphis, TN to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy intermodal equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will tackle mechanical challenges with a focus on safety and customer service, keeping machines running at peak performance.
We value 3+ years of field experience, a strong read on schematics and trouble-shooting, and a technical certification in maintenance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining or repairing heavy industrial equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshooting guides; PLC knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems on Kalmar and third-party gear.
- Perform preventative maintenance per service plans and OEM guidelines.
- Safely operate tools and equipment including forklifts and cranes.
- Read drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints; document work orders and labor.
- Collaborate with customers and Kalmar support; mentor junior technicians.
