Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring an Intermodal Equipment Operator to move containers within our intermodal yard. You will operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to load, unload, and relocate freight, ensuring safe, efficient yard movement in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time position in Atlanta requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and reliability for early starts, shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in logistics or industrial settings preferred.
• Safety-focused with attention to detail.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willing to work flexible weekends and holidays.
• Good basic communication and teamwork.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs on railcars.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to move, stack, and organize containers.
• Perform Groundman duties during initial training, assisting with railroad maintenance activities.
• Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure safety.
• Coordinate moves with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following protocols and procedures.
