Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs’ St. Louis Health Care System at John Cochran Campus seeks an intermittent Registered Nurse to deliver Med/Surg and Telemetry care to veterans. Assignments include 6 North, 7 North, 7 South, 5 Center and overflow to ED and ICUs as needed, with varying schedules.

The role requires English proficiency, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and current RN licensure. Preferred candidates have inpatient RN experience and can work across units as needed.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care per VA policy.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE) or equivalent.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the United States or state equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing care to veterans on assigned units.
• Care for patients across Med/Surg and Telemetry units with potential overflow assignments.
• Adhere to VA standards and maintain safety, documentation, and teamwork on shift.
