Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our San Antonio, TX area office to support rehabilitation projects focused on steel and concrete infrastructure. You will investigate, design remedial solutions, and provide consulting services across Texas with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects.

This role offers growth, client development opportunities, and periodic travel within Texas and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in Structural Engineering design, forensics, review, and assessment.
Professional Engineer licensure (PE) in Texas.
B.S. in civil engineering or architectural engineering.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide structural engineering and consulting services, including remedial structural design for existing buildings, failure investigations, condition assessments, and rehabilitation of structures.
Collaborate with architects, owners, engineers, and contractors across diverse clients and projects.
Prepare and oversee design and construction documents for varied projects within this office.
Develop proposals for professional services including scope, fee, and schedule.
Prepare professional reports with clear presentation of technical ideas and recommendations.
Lead multidisciplinary building engineering teams and coordinate personnel to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Mentor junior staff and cross-train team members on structural services as needed.
Engage in technical associations and support group/office business development.
