Job summary

RJ Painting & Decorating in California is seeking an Intermediate Painter to join our team. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paint on interior and exterior projects, maintain tools, and help keep job sites organized and safe.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of verifiable painting experience, a valid driver's license, a smartphone with data, and the stamina to lift 20–75 lbs. You should be reliable, able to work independently or with a crew, and comfortable with heights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of verifiable painting experience (must be stated on resume).
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to commute between job sites.
• Smartphone with data plan (compensated).
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs to 75 lbs of equipment.
• Able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, carry, and crouch.
• Must be comfortable with heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment.
• Getting yourself to and from the job sites.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary.
• Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks.
