The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for their Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. This team provides care to post-surgical and medical short-stay patients in a fast-paced environment with varying acuity levels.

This RN position on the Intermediate PCU offers the opportunity to build relationships with patients in a supportive environment led by engaging leadership committed to career development. It is an excellent chance to enhance your nursing skills, learn new ones, and grow professionally.

This unit will allow you to gain RN experience with:

• Fast-paced environment
• Variety in acuity levels, conditions, and treatments
• ICU stabilization
• Working with patients across all specialties
• High patient turnover
• Post-surgical and medical patients

Shift Details: Night shift from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

The Work:

• Utilize the nursing process effectively
• Perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise other care staff
• Coordinate care plans for assigned patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Adhere to policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures, demonstrating proficiency

Job Requirements

Experience: Less than 1 year

Certifications: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
