Job Overview

The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for their Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. This team provides care to post-surgical and medical short-stay patients in a fast-paced environment with varying acuity levels.

Shift Details

Night shift from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Unit Experience

• Fast-paced environment
• Variety of acuity levels, conditions, and treatments
• ICU stabilization
• Work with patients across all specialties
• High patient turnover
• Post-surgical and medical patients

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process effectively
• Perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise other staff
• Coordinate care plans for assigned patients and consult with healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes
• Demonstrate proficiency and adhere to policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures

Job Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Registered Nurse license (MO)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
