Baeumler Design Group in West Palm Beach is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Interior Designer to join our growing studio. The role focuses on translating design concepts into precise construction documents and coordinating with leaders to deliver detailed drawing sets.

You will develop furniture plans, millwork detailing, and drawings for residential, hospitality and lifestyle projects, while maintaining standards, managing workflows, and collaborating with architects, contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 4 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction documentation, detailing and drawing-set organization.
  • Demonstrated experience producing millwork elevations, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans and finish drawings.
  • Working knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, finishes, lighting, plumbing and cabinetry.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, consultant and shop drawings.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SketchUp or another 3D modelling program is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments while meeting firm deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed AutoCAD drawing sets for residential, hospitality and lifestyle projects.
  • Develop existing-condition plans, furniture plans, floor finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, lighting and electrical plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
  • Create kitchen, bathroom, closet and custom millwork drawings.
  • Translate approved design concepts, sketches and markups into clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Maintain drawing standards, title blocks, layer conventions, blocks, schedules and project file organization.
  • Update drawing sets throughout design development and construction, ensuring all revisions are accurately documented.
  • Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and consultant drawings for coordination.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information and potential design conflicts before drawings are issued.
  • Assist with field measurements, site verification and the preparation of existing-condition drawings.
  • Prepare finish, plumbing, lighting, hardware, appliance and millwork schedules.
  • Facilitate the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, materials, lighting and accessories.
  • Prepare presentation materials, material palettes and specification packages.
  • Assist with sourcing, procurement tracking, budgeting and vendor coordination.
  • Review shop drawings, samples and submittals against the approved design intent.
  • Communicate with architects, contractors, trades, fabricators, showrooms and vendors as required.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, installations, styling and project reveals.
  • Incorporate senior-level feedback accurately and efficiently while proactively flagging questions or concerns.
  • Support projects with accelerated schedules, including television and branded-content environments.

Sarah Baeumler is seeking a talented and technically skilled Intermediate / Senior Level Interior Designer to join our growing West Palm Beach studio.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer with strong AutoCAD expertise and experience producing accurate, comprehensive interior design drawing sets. Working closely with the creative leadership team, this individual will help translate design concepts into the technical documentation required for construction, fabrication, procurement and installation.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing a furniture plan, detailing custom millwork, coordinating consultant drawings and supporting material selections. This position requires creativity, precision, organization and the ability to manage several project priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
