Job summary

LexisNexis Reed Tech is seeking a software engineer to translate product requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions within a focused technology team. You will design flows, develop code, and unit test components in an environment that values quality and collaboration.

You will work across Java/J2EE, JavaScript, and React, handling moderately complex data models and contributing to coding best practices, test-driven development, and agile or waterfall workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
• Understanding of data modeling principles.
• Ability to work with complex data models.
• Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, React
• Familiarity of industry best practices — code coverage.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Complete bug fixes.

About the Role
