Title: Intermediate Electrician – Data Centers
Pay: $26.37 - $31.75 per hour

Overview
PSG is a fast‑growing construction and infrastructure company specializing in mission‑critical environments. We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrician to join a high‑profile data center construction project in Lordstown, Ohio. This role will perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of power systems in high‑reliability data center facilities. The candidate will work with moderate supervision, manage specific work packages, and mentor junior team members.
The position is initially for a 6‑month project in Lordstown with a strong pipeline of follow‑on projects nationwide, offering long‑term career stability and growth.
Duties
- Independently install, modify, and maintain electrical distribution systems, UPS, static switches, generators, and associated controls with minimal supervision, following design drawings, specifications, and data center reliability requirements.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in power distribution, control circuits, and backup systems; support commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and performance verification.
- Lead small work teams, ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards, and mentor junior electricians on techniques, safety practices, and data center protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and test results; coordinate with other trades and report progress to supervisors.
Must‑Haves (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent plus completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training.
- 3–6 years of relevant electrical experience.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (or state equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC), safety standards (NFPA 70E), and data center power concepts (redundancy, UPS, generators).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one‑line diagrams.
- Good communication skills and basic leadership ability to guide small teams.
- Physically fit to work in data center environments; reliable transportation to site; valid driver’s license.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Experience in mission‑critical or industrial facilities (data centers preferred).
- Mandarin Chinese language skills (spoken or written).
- Manufacturer certifications on UPS, generator, or switchgear systems.
- Prior experience with commissioning and integrated systems testing.
Experience
- 3–6 years of hands‑on electrical work with demonstrated ability to work independently on complex installations.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or mission‑critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting, testing, and leading small crews.
License / Certification
- Required: Valid Journeyman Electrician license (or state equivalent).
- Preferred: Data center or critical facilities training certificates, manufacturer‑specific certifications (UPS, generators, switchgear).
- Safety certifications: OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E training, CPR/First Aid strongly recommended; ability to obtain within first 60 days if not already held.
Ability to Relocate
- Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
- Role requires full‑time, on‑site presence in Lordstown for the initial 6‑month assignment; after completion candidates must be open to travel or relocation to nationwide project sites.
Work Location
- Primary location: Lordstown, Ohio (Data Center Construction Campus).
- Initial assignment: 6‑month project based in Lordstown.
- Future assignments: Nationwide project pipeline; flexibility and willingness to relocate necessary.
