Under the direction of the Clinical Command Center Director and the Chief Clinical Access Officer, the Clinical Access Operations Analyst is responsible for building a business intelligence layer to deliver reporting and analytical tools to support data-driven decisions. This analyst has intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the capabilities of and data within UAMS data warehouses to effectively drive operational decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis as well as reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision makers.

90%: Reporting and Analytics
Use of Systems: Performs concurrent and retrospective electronic data collection from clinical and operational databases, including chart review of the electronic health record. Studies appropriate people-driven workflows to understand the current state of processes and associated data. Collects, aggregates, audits, and analyzes data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into operational performance.
Data Analysis: Analyzes clinical and operational data, develops summary reports/recommendations, control charts/graphs, trends, outcomes, and identifies opportunities for improvement. In addition, collaborates with team members and supports recommendations with data and judgment. Produces actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identifies areas of improvement within current operations, and displays root cause analysis of problems. Uses analytics and metrics to improve processes, identify risks, and provides data-driven forecasts. Analyzes data sets and trends for anomalies, outliers, trend changes, and opportunities. Assists with special projects as requested by various internal departments. Identifies and troubleshoots data quality issues and works with stakeholders to implement solutions. Manages multiple projects and ensures timely completion while setting and overseeing stakeholder expectations. Ensures compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Creates ad-hoc queries and reports. Develops test plans and performs required testing to assure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions.
Collaboration and Communication: Supports and facilitates quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with leadership and other stakeholders throughout the organization. Communicates findings and insight to stakeholders and provides strategy recommendations for optimizing operational performance. Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders and teams to identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing data with the goal of enhancing patient care and outcomes.
