Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking an Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer to join our US team in Tucson. You will lead the civil and structural design of heavy industrial projects from feasibility through construction support, applying North American codes and standards.

Responsibilities include engineering analysis, delivering calculations and reports, coordinating with multidiscipline teams, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project planning, scheduling, and client discussions in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural focus.
  • PE license or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable US jurisdiction.
  • 5–10 years of relevant civil and structural engineering experience.
  • Experience in industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of North American civil/structural codes and standards.

BBA is seeking an Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing U.S. team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of multidisciplinary industrial infrastructure projects in the mining, energy, renewable power, industrial, and chemical sectors.

  • Lead the civil and structural design of heavy industrial projects from feasibility studies through detailed engineering and construction support
  • Perform engineering analysis and design for civil and structural systems in accordance with applicable U.S. codes and industry standards
  • Design and review:
  • Concrete foundations
  • Structural steel and reinforced concrete structures
  • Equipment support structures
  • Pipe racks, access platforms, and industrial structural systems
  • Building structural components
  • General civil infrastructure systems supporting industrial facilities
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, design memoranda, specifications, and construction packages
  • Coordinate engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, environmental, and project management teams
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Support quality assurance and perform technical reviews of engineering deliverables
  • Manage assigned project tasks, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables to support successful project execution
  • Participate in project planning, scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, and resource coordination
  • Interface directly with clients to clarify technical requirements, present engineering solutions, and support project delivery discussions
  • Support construction through field reviews, site visits, technical issue resolution, and contractor coordination
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, engineering best practices, and technical innovation
  • Support business development activities including proposal preparation, technical input, and client relationship development

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural focus, or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction within a reasonable timeframe
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering
  • Experience in industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Experience coordinating project scope, schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables
  • Strong understanding of North American civil and structural design codes and engineering standards
  • Experience with engineering tools such as:
  • SAP2000 / ETABS / STAAD or equivalent
  • AutoCAD / Navisworks / Revit
  • Mathcad or equivalent engineering calculation software
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills
  • Availability for occasional travel to client and project sites
