Job summary

Joseph Vance Architects in New York City is seeking a licensed/experienced Architect to join a small studio environment. You will support a Senior Architect and propel projects from concept through construction, collaborating with clients, contractors and city agencies.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience, strong 3D modeling or BIM skills, and a sharp eye for detailing. You must reside in the NYC area and have US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience.
• Experience working on all phases of a project is a plus.
• High level of proficiency with 3D modeling or BIM software.
• Resourceful; able to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Strong conceptual, design and detailing skills.
• NYC residential architecture experience a plus.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Assist a Senior Architect or the Principal in generating designs and presentations, construction drawings, code research and compliance, and material selection.
• Help manage schedules and coordination of clients, contractors, expeditors, consultants, city agencies and vendors.
• Assist with construction administration.

JVA is an award-winning architecture studio in the heart of Chelsea. As a small studio, you have the unique opportunity to work on all phases of projects under a Senior Architect with the goal of you leading your own projects in the future.

We focus solely on high-end, single family residential work in New York, including townhouse and large apartment renovations.

This is a full time salaried position with fully paid individual health insurance benefit, competitive PTO, and summer fridays. Salary starts at $80,000+ and is commensurate with experience and skill set. We recognize and reward excellent performance with expanded responsibilities, growth and compensation.
