Job summary

Millward Architecture + Design is seeking an Intermediate Architect with 3–5 years of residential experience to join our New York team. The ideal candidate brings strong design sensibility and a collaborative studio mindset, ready to contribute to projects from concept through construction.

You will lead design development, generate presentations, produce construction drawings, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and city agencies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in architecture.
• Experience with NYC residential projects.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape.
• Knowledge of NYC building codes and LPC processes.
• Live in the New York City area.

Responsibilities include

• Lead projects under the direction of the principal and with the support of the team

• Generate designs and presentations

• Produce construction drawings and details

• Ensure compliance of buildings codes and studio standards

• Help manage schedules and coordination of clients, contractors, consultants, city agencies and vendors

• Execute construction administration including review of shop drawings and submittals

• 3-5 years experience

• Experience with NYC residential projects and all phases of architecture

• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

• High level of proficiency in Revit, Autocad, SketchUp and Enscape

• Knowledge of NYC building codes, zoning and LPC processes

• Keen interest in detailing and materials

• Currently live in the New York City area
