Job summary
Safdie Architects is seeking an intermediate architect/designer (5-10+ years) to join our design practice in a full-time, in-studio role. You will work closely with Partners to develop design concepts and coordinate a diverse team, including outside consultants.
You must be nimble across project types and locations, and lead junior staff while maintaining strong communication. Candidates should demonstrate experience in large-scale, programmatically complex projects, a solid grasp of geometry,
Qualifications
- Experience producing concept through design development documents.
- Experience with large-scale, complex public/private projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of complex geometries.
- Demonstrated design sensibility and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating engineering consultants and collaborators.
- US work authorization required.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams including junior architects.
- Develop and refine design concepts with Partners.
- Organize and coordinate design team efforts and consultants.
- Oversee production of issued drawings and documents.
