Job summary

StudioSC, an award-winning architecture firm in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a project architect with extensive NYC zoning knowledge and DOB filing experience. The candidate will translate creative design into drawings and lead design development for residential and mixed-use projects.

Requirements include 6–15 years in a NYC office, a professional architecture degree, and strong communication skills. Advanced Revit and SketchUp proficiency are expected, with self-motivation and a collaborative mindset

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a professional architecture degree (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• 6–15 years of experience in a NYC professional architecture office with strong design skills.
• Advanced knowledge of NYC zoning and code, and DOB filing drawings, is required.
• Proven ability to translate creative design into construction drawings.

StudioSC is an award-winning architecture firm located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Our studio is very design focused with an emphasis on residential and mixed use development work with ground up and adaptive re-use projects.

Qualifications

**Please note we are only considering candidates if the minimum required qualifications are met ** The available position is full-time with salary and benefits commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications. Candidates MUST have advanced knowledge of NYC zoning and code, DOB filing drawings and have a good level of construction knowledge required by a project architect. Self motivation is a must as we're looking for someone committed to learning and adding their unique perspective to our culturally diverse office.

The minimum requirements for candidates are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture
• 6-15 years of experience in a NYC professional architecture office
• Creative design skills and ability to translate design into drawings
• A good communicator who can manage workflow and time well
• Understanding New York City zoning and code *** This is a requirement not an option
• Strong computer skills listed below:
• Fluency in Revit; minimum 6 years working with program in a professional office
• Good working knowledge of the following programs are an advantage:
• Sketchup knowledge is preferred
