Job summary

Meyers Manx in California is seeking an Interior Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and release of seating systems, IP, and console components for a vehicle program. You will own interior hardware from concept through production, balancing comfort, safety, fit/finish, packaging, cost, and manufacturability targets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive interior component design, CAD proficiency with CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE or NX, and knowledge of FMVSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in automotive interior component design.
• CAD proficiency with CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE or NX.
• Strong understanding of FMVSS and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design seating systems (frames, tracks, recliners) and IP/console structures.
• Coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers and design studio.
• Support IP integration with HVAC vents, displays, and trims.
• Perform DVP&R testing and validation activities.
• Drive PPAP readiness and production launch support.
