Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Interior Superintendent to lead interior fit-out and construction projects across the Northern Virginia and DC metro area. This hands-on role demands carpentry expertise, strong leadership, and a keen ability to drive schedules while coordinating trades.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in carpentry or wood-frame construction, experience with commercial projects, and a solid understanding of safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Interior Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Membership in the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC) is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of carpentry or wood-frame ground-up construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to oversee multiple trades and manage complex project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain schedules.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Track progress and provide updates on schedule, manpower, and challenges.
• Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics to maximise productivity.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain strong trade relationships.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
