Job summary

Bombardier Windsor Locks is seeking an Interior Remove & Install Technician for the weekend shift at our Hartford Service Center. You will fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment per work orders, ensuring quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of interiors experience on corporate aircraft, can read mechanical drawings, and maintain documentation. Hybrid benefits and equal opportunity employer considerations are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Interiors Remove & Install experience on corporate aircraft.
• Ability to break down cabinets, remove hardware, and inlay.
• Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate status.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request.
• Perform and document all work per manuals and regulations.
• Comply with safety policies and 5-S activities.
• Travel on international assignments if required and assist at off-site locations.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
• Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures
• Participate in 5-S activities
• Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed
• Clean aircraft as required
• Travel on international assignments if required
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
• Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have 1-3 years of Interiors Remove & Install experience on corporate aircraft
• You demonstrate the ability to break down cabinets remove hardware, inlay etc.
• You demonstrate ability to strip finish utilizing heat and scraper
• You have experience with sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finish, including touching up defects in veneer
• You can mix match and apply stains and paints on new veneers
• You have knowledge on spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats
• You have experience with Aircraft touch up
• You demonstrate the ability to mask and unmask components for finish process
• You demonstrate the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
• You demonstrate the ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
• You have Basic PC skills
