Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Interior Remove & Install Technician for the Evening Shift at the Windsor Locks, CT location. The role includes fabricating, installing, and refurbishing interior aircraft components per work orders, with travel to international assignments if required.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Interiors Remove & Install experience on corporate aircraft and can read engineering drawings, along with basic PC skills and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Interiors Remove & Install experience on corporate aircraft.
• Ability to break down cabinets and remove hardware.
• Ability to strip finish using heat and scraper.
• Experience sanding and prepping veneer and hardwood for finish.
• Knowledge of applying stains and paints on veneers.
• Experience with polyester base coats and urethane top coats
• Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication about aircraft status
• Basic PC skills

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
• Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures
• Participate in 5-S activities
• Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed
• Clean aircraft as required
• Travel on international assignments if required
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
• Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed
