Experis Technology Group's client is seeking an Automotive Soft Trim Materials Engineer (Interior) in Auburn Hills, MI onsite. The role focuses on developing and integrating soft trim materials—fabrics, synthetic skins, carpeting, and leather—for vehicle interiors.

You will collaborate with Design Office, Product Engineers and suppliers on formulation, development and specs, lead material development programs, and ensure performance, durability and regulatory alignment.

Formación

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Materials Engineering or Materials Sciences.
• Minimum 2 years in materials engineering with soft trim materials, including materials development, specification, and product support.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and planning abilities; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and engineer automotive soft trim materials for vehicle interiors.
• Collaborate with Design Office, Product Engineers, material suppliers and sub-tier suppliers on formulation, development and specs.
• Support integration of materials into vehicle applications and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Lead short- and long-term materials development programs with suppliers and internal partners.
• Create, maintain and update material specifications and standards for assigned product areas.
