Job summary

Carter Custom Millwork, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking a hands-on team member to review work orders and assemble interior doors. Under minimal supervision, you’ll set up equipment, cut components, and prepare hinges, locks, and casings to meet order specs.

Expect use of power, air, and hand tools, with emphasis on accuracy and timely completion. Experience in manufacturing and carpentry is preferred but not required; the role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to perform

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing preferred but not necessary.
• Experience in the use of a variety of tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• General carpentry skills are preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to do repetitious work at a fast pace while standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, review each work order and ensure proper materials are available.
• Set up the necessary equipment and material to assemble interior doors according to the order.
• Cut components accurately, hinge/lockset prep, and fastenings jambs, stops, and casings.
• Operate various assembly equipment and power, air, and hand tools.
• Complete orders accurately and according to the schedule.
