Job summary

Carter Custom Millwork, a division of Carter Lumber, is hiring for a hands-on doors assembler in Kentucky. Under minimal supervision, you will review work orders and prepare components to assemble interior doors, using power, air, and hand tools.

You will cut components, prep hinges and locks, fasten jambs and casings, and ensure orders are completed on schedule. Experience in manufacturing is helpful; the role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not necessary.
• Experience with a variety of tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• General carpentry skills are preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to do repetitious work at a fast pace while standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Review each work order and ensure proper materials are available.
• Set up equipment and material to assemble interior doors according to the order.
• Cut components accurately and prep hinges/locks.
• Fasten jambs, stops, and casings using various assembly equipment.
• Complete orders accurately and according to the schedule.

Description

Under minimal supervision, you will review each work order and ensure proper materials are available. You will then set up the necessary equipment and material to assemble interior doors according to the order. This includes cutting components accurately, hinge/lockset prep, and fastenings jambs, stops, and casings. Various assembly equipment is used as well as power, air, and hand tools. The goal is to complete orders accurately and according to the schedule.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing is preferredbut not necessary
• Experience in the use of a variety of tools is preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to do repetitious work at a fast pace while standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance
