Job summary

Gensler in San Francisco is seeking a Designer to collaborate with Design Directors on interior projects, translating sketches into 2D/3D models and images. You will guide design through documentation and administration phases, while mentoring and coordinating with the team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in interior design or architecture, 6+ years of experience, proficiency in Revit, strong modeling skills in CAD/Enscape/3ds Max/SketchUp/Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture.
• 6+ years of related project experience or internship experience at commercial interior design or architecture firm.
• Proficiency in Revit required.
• Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software (CAD, Enscape, 3ds MAX, SketchUp, Rhino with V-Ray a plus).
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements.
• Enrolled in IDP Program (NCARB or NCIDQ) and in-process for state licensure.
• LEED Accredited Professional or in process.
• Ability to work in person in the office 5 days a week.
• Strong verbal communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases from conceptual designs to construction administration.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet project objectives.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts.
• Work with other design and professional staff in a synergistic manner.
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
